Dr. Ashu Agarwal is a surgeon and academician par excellence. He has amassed over 14 years of experience after his post graduation(MS)in Ophthalmology from the Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak in 1996 after having completed his graduation from Maulana Azad Medical College in 1991.He holds a fellowship in Cornea and Anterior Segment awarded by the prestigious L.V. Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad. He is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery, All India Ophthalmological Society and the Eye Bank Association of India .His professional training has included an observership in Boston Scleral Contact Lenses at the Boston Foundation for Sight, Boston in 2005 and an observership in Cornea & Refractive Surgery at Columbia University Medical Center, New York in 2004.He is an expert in performing State-of-the-art cataract surgery including phacoemulsification as well as IOL implantation in difficult cases such as scleral fixation along with refractive surgery, i.e Lasik, Epi-Lasik. Besides this, as a cornea specialist, he initiated the first ‘Hospital Cornea Retrieval Program’ in North India and helped to increase awareness for eye donation. Dr. Agarwal has numerous publications as well as national and international presentations spanning several years to his credit .He is highly sought after as a faculty for DNB post graduates. She has done her graduation (MBBS) from J.N.M.C. (AMU), Aligarh with distinction in 1994 and post graduation in ophthalmology (MS) from institute of ophthalmology, Aligarh in 1998. She was awarded degree of Diplomat of National Board (DNB) and Fellow of International Coucil of Ophthalmology (FICO) in 1998. She has received VN Raijada award for best paper at annual conference of ophthalmological society, 1997. She has specialized in Phacoemulsification –Cataract and Glaucoma (at Moorefield eye hospital, London, UK and LV Prasad Eye Institute, Hyderabad, India). She has over 10 years of comprehensive experience in ophthalmology practice after post graduation. She is an expert on Glaucoma and has been Incharge of Glaucoma Services at various eye institutes.. She has performed over thousands of sutureless cataract surgeries and trained postgraduates and surgeons for same. She has a number of paper presentations and publications in Indian and International conferences and journals. She has been invited as guest speaker, faculty and moderator in various scientific forums and conferences. She strongly believes in ethical and humane approach to healthcare.

She started her professional career as an Assistant Professor at Kasturba Medical College by teaching theory and clinical skills. She has achieved a forte in distinguishing herself in different paper presentations such as CTR implantation in cataract surgery, capsular tension ring in zonular dialysis. She has specialized in ophthalmology like cornea, vitreo-retina, uvea, squint, glaucoma, ocular trauma and emergencies. She posses expert ability and experience to perform independent surgery procedures like Extra Capsular Cataract Extraction (ECCE), Small Incision Cataract Surgery (SICS), Phaoemulsification, lacrimal surgeries like DCR, DCT.
